Dear Friends & Supporters,

As autumn settles over Metro Detroit, I find myself reflecting on the incredible work our Covenant Community Care team has accomplished so far this year. Together, we’ve served thousands of families and individuals—neighbors, friends, and community members—providing compassionate, quality health care regardless of their ability to pay.

Our mission to show and share the love of God by providing integrated, affordable, and quality health car to those who need it most has never been more important.

In a world where access to care can still depend too much on circumstance, Covenant remains a living example of what it means to be the hands and feet of Christ. Every exam, every counseling session, every smile at the front desk is an act of service and healing that embodies His love for all.

I am profoundly proud of our staff and providers who carry forward the vision that began 24 years ago, when Covenant Community Care first became a Federally Qualified Health Center. What started as a leap of faith has grown into a vital ministry of healing and hope across our region.

This August during National Health Center Week, we were especially reminded of that faith-filled beginning each of our Covenant sites celebrated with community Jamborees.

On August 27, we celebrated the anniversary of the day Covenant received one of the largest community health grants in the nation—officially becoming a Federally Qualified Health Center. That moment stands as a visible reflection of the trust, faith, and commitment that define our mission.

I was humbly reminded of our mission again at this month's Staff Renewal Day as we gathered to pray, share, learn, and cast a vision for the future.

As we look ahead, we know there is still more to do. Health care is healing, and our work is far from finished. We hope you will re-engage with us—through prayer, support, or partnership—as we continue sharing God’s love and extending His care to those who need it most.

You'll be hearing more from us in the coming months and I look forward to re-connecting with each and every one of you!

With gratitude and faith,

Joslyn Pettway
