It was a couple months before Christmas and Michael Morgan had only 13 teeth remaining, but he had a special wish: “I wanted a nice smile for Christmas,” he says.
In recovery from drug addiction for 18 years, Morgan was ready to repair his smile, but he was nervous, too. He feared the pain of having his remaining teeth pulled. He says that he knew he was in the right place when he walked into Covenant’s Dental Center and found the staff gathered in prayer.
“I joined in on the prayer,” he says. “These people believe in having God intervene in the work they do.”
Morgan eventually got a complete upper set of dentures and a partial lower set. He had the procedure done on the 23rd of December, came in for a follow-up appointment on Christmas Eve, and was eating Christmas dinner with his family on Christmas Day.
“Every picture before this was this,” he says, smiling a half-smile so that his teeth don’t show. “Now every picture is this,” he says, smiling broadly so that his teeth shine.
Morgan says that though the procedure was painful, the dental staff greatly minimized the pain, in addition giving him non-narcotic pain medication, sensitivity to his background that Morgan appreciated.
Morgan recommended that his wife Pamela come to Covenant for dental care. She is scheduled to get upper and lower partial dentures.
“I trust my wife to Covenant,” he says.
